This is a full-time, on-site position.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the generation of system requirements and specifications required
Carry out electrical engineering design activities including: design, debug, modifications and verification of electrical components of the company’s products required
Develop and document circuit schematics and create BOM and other engineering drawings as needed for printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies required
Develop manufacturing and test instructions required
Support the layout of as well as DFMA and DFT of printed circuit boards required
Experience in development or design support incorporating FPGAs and develop or update VHDL code in FPGA designs preferred
Participate in or lead design reviews by providing expertise on hardware design
Participate in or lead hardware project requirements for new product development
Transfer PCB designs to contract manufacturers and act as liaison with contract manufacturer for all design issues
Transfer PCBAs to in-house manufacturing for prototypes and released products and provide support as needed
Ensure the device’s electrical safety and participate in risk management activities
Required experience in radio frequency (RF) product design, tuning and debugging, and custom antenna designs (i.e. BLE, WIFI, LTE, and other RF protocols as needed in product design - required
Work with certification labs to test and certify the products to applicable safety and EMC standards, including designs with intended radios. required
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations (RoHS)
Lead hardware improvement projects as required by the business
Support manufacturing activities as needed
System design and implementation for high speed radio, external memory and interface (if necessary) connectors, passives, debug interface, power management some of which are already selected
Qualifications:
Sound knowledge of electronics engineering design principles for analog, digital and RF mixed signal designs
Experience with Electrical/RF engineering for medical devices
Familiarity with IEC 60601 family of standards: Design and testing for EMC
Demonstrated ability to design products in a timely fashion with high quality
Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
Excellent written and verbal technical communications skills
Detail-orientated, highly motivated, patient and diligent
Able to work well in teams and independently
5 - 10 years related experience required
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline preferred
