Americana Tire and Wheel, a division of American Kenda Rubber, is an innovative and progressive tire and wheel supplier to the trailer industry. We are a market leader in supplying tire and wheel assemblies to trailer manufacturers and distributors. We are looking for an experienced sales professional to as our Director of National Sales.
Position Summary:
The Director of National Sales will manage and oversee the sales operations, territories, and regional sales managers within the division. This position is responsible for designing plans to meet targets, developing relationships with customers, and evaluating costs for selling products and services. This position will effectively communicate value propositions through proposals, understand category-specific trends, report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts, and develop key growth action plans. This position will be responsible for acting as a company representative at trade association meetings, consulting with potential customers, and successfully growing territories and sales targets. This position is responsible for drafting and implementing performance standards and conducting performance reviews.
This position will travel up to 40% to all US sales territories, various customer locations, and tradeshows.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in related field is required
Master’s degree in related field is highly preferred
At least three to five years of sales or business administration and/or experience related to the organization’s industry required, with supervisory and leadership experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to develop and communicate the organization’s mission and vision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Vice President, maintaining open communication and disclosure of the conditions, operations, and needs of the organization
Drafts, presents, and recommends organizational policies and programs to executive leadership
Oversees preparation of the annual budget for their division
Facilitates periodic audits and compliance activities for the organization
Supports and directs public relations activities to build and maintain relationships with other organizations and the public
Responsible for the training, development, and performance of team members
Executes other duties as requested by executive leadership
