Clinical Coordinator/Lead Medical Assistant-Cardiology

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced medical assistant looking to join our independent cardiology practice located in central Austin. While you will be expected to have knowledge and perform the usual duties of a medical assistant (escort patients to exam room and perform EKGs, medical history intake and scribing, routine clinical tasks to support medical staff),, this position will primarily be a back-office position.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate incoming and outgoing referrals. Call patients to schedule appointments

Communicate with insurance companies for prior authorizations of procedures and scheduling with patients

Training medical assistants and students

Required to go to Bastrop Clinic 1-2 times per week

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a medical assistant is required-cardiology preferred

Strong organizational skills

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Excellent patient communication-spanish speaking preferredCompany Description
