Psychotherapist (Brooklyn Counseling Center)

Brooklyn Counseling Center (BCC) is a licensed, outpatient mental health clinic that serves children between the ages of 4 and 21.

We are currently seeking a full-time Psychotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities includes intake assessments, individual, group and family therapy. We offer clinical supervision hours as needed for licensure, as well as training in evidence-based models. We offer a hybrid schedule, with a balance of telehealth and in-person hours, and well as an opportunity to do on-site therapy at our satellite facility, Liberation High School.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide individual, group and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based models.

Complete timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans and outcome measures in the electronic health record.

Collaborate with client family members, school personnel, psychiatric staff, and supervisor to assure treatment goals are appropriate for clients.

Attend clinical case conferences, staff meetings, supervision and training according to program procedures.

Maintain expected levels of productivity and provide quality care as defined by regulatory agencies and JCCA.

Conduct crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.

Qualifications:

LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD, from an accredited academic program.

Must be licensed to practice in New York State (limited permit acceptable).

Minimum one year working in children’s treatment services.

Proficiency in writing skills necessary in order to fulfill state and city regulations for maintaining client records.

Proficient with MS Office, with the ability to learn new technology platforms;

Knowledge of child development and individual and family functioning.

Skills in working with difficult to engage individuals and families.

Cultural competence.

Bilingual skills in Spanish a plus.

Flexible hours, with a minimum of two evenings per week.Company Description
