Production Operator - All Shifts

Job Description

Summary

Under supervision of the manufacturing Team Leader/Group Leader/Supervisor or designee, safely and effectively performs duties to meet established performance and quality goals in a time-sensitive manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Performs pre-shift exercise/stretching routines

· Adheres to safety requirements and procedures

· Performs duties manually or operates necessary machinery to manufacture parts in accordance with standard operating procedures

· Performs duties in a manner to ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained

· Performs duties in a manner that meets or exceeds productions standards

· Follows appropriate packaging and labeling guidelines for each product

· Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions including machine/ equipment malfunction to department supervision

· Maintains the work area in a clean orderly condition

· Works within ISO14001, ISO 45001, and TS-16949 standards.

· Cooperates with fellow teams members and members of management

· Transports material as required

· Housekeeping duties related to assigned area at the end of the shift

· Properly use SAP system

· Other duties as assigned including but not limited to information contained in the operators role description Addendum

Education / Experience:

· High school diploma or GED preferred

Language Ability:

· Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions/procedures

· Ability to understand and follow verbal instructions

· Ability to effectively communicate, in written or verbal form

Math Ability:

Basic math and measurement skills required

Reasoning Ability:

· Ability to understand written and verbal job instructions/procedures

· Ability to identify problems

Computer Skills:

Ability to retrieve information via floor support system

Ability to perform scanning duties

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles. The work environment is warm/humid. The noise level in the environment is moderate to high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, to stand for long periods of time, to use hands to finger, handle or feel, and to reach with arms and hands. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb and balance. Bending and twisting at the waist and knees is required on a regular basis. The employee is frequently required to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Company Description
