Job Description
Established insurance defense firm seeks paralegal with 3+ years of experience. Insurance defense and securities/FINRA experience required. This position requires an experienced, well-organized and independent paralegal to provide support to the attorneys at the headquarters of an insurance defense firm. All resume submissions will be kept confidential. Hybrid schedule (3 days in-office). Generous benefits package and time off. Salary commensurate with experience (70,000-90,000).
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
FINRA arbitrator research
Electronic filing
Preparing documents for discovery
Maintaining case calendars and subpoena database
Preparing TOAs and TOCs
Drafting and proofreading legal documents
Managing large case files
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with strong academic record desired.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal in a mid-sized to large law firm. Experience in the insurance industry is preferable.
Experience tracking and entering billable time.
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and to manage time effectively.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
Ability to perform electronic research using Westlaw and Pacer.
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Must be willing to work overtime when required.
