Shop Helpers - Composite Tech Trainees

Job Description

CTR Group is seeking Shop Helpers – Composite Tech Trainees for an Aerospace Company in Newport News, VA.

Pay Rate: $18 - $20 per hour, and higher for skilled Composite Techs

Position can be remote or onsite

SUMMARY:

Under direct guidance of higher level employees to perform duties involving construction and installation of model parts. Great opportunity to learn a new skill!

Assist in set ups and layups

Assist in laminating and trimming operations.

Prepare materials for construction.

Related duties as assigned.

Use all hand tools.

Painting and decaling per instructions.

Daily/special housekeeping duties.

Implement all safety policy and hazardous waste communications.

REQUIREMENTS:

High school graduate or equivalent

Good hand skills

Carpenter Helpers, Auto Mechanic Helpers, or former military or reservists with hands-on experience would be ideal..

Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Experience using basic hand tools

Must be US citizen
