Job Description
RISE Housing and Support Services has an opportunity for a per diem worker at one of our community residences, Hedgerow House. The perfect candidate will have an interest in the human services field, the flexibility to pick up a shift when one becomes available, and the empathy and positivity to be a supportive presence for our residents while they work to overcome the life challenges their substance use diagnoses has presented.
RISE offers a starting Per Diem Counselor:
A rate of $17 per hour
$250 bonus after 6 months of employment
Available shifts to fit any schedule, including days, nights, and weekends
An opportunity to gain experience in a human services field in a growing organization that likes to promote from within
A great place to earn hours toward a CASAC credential
Overview of Job Responsibilities:
Acclimating residents to the structure of the program
Supervising residents’ daily living activities and house management to maintain a clean, safe, and supportive environment
Modeling positive and appropriate behaviors for residents
1st, 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities available
To qualify you must have:
An interest in human services and the dedication to learn
An ability to operate independently, think on your feet, and follow your training
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal boundaries
Our shared belief system in areas such as compassion, respect, dedication, and inclusion
Schedule:
We have a variety of shifts available including day, evening, weekend, and awake overnight hours
