Entry Computer/Intercom Technician

Job Description

We are a local small business looking for an entry level technician to answer calls about audio/visual intercoms and IP systems. Basic understanding of electronics and wiring diagrams required. Previous hands-on experience and bi-lingual in Spanish a plus, but not mandatory. Training on our specific product and systems will be provided. Health Insurance and benefits offered after 90 day probationary period.

Responsibilities include:

Answering incoming calls from installers in the field and effectively answer questions and provide guidance remotely.

Programing intercom components according to building layouts.

Inspecting returned items for damages, testing, and repairing various components.

Testing manufacturer products for bugs and providing feedback for improvements.

Assisting customers in the field with installation, troubleshooting, and programming as needed.

Reimbursement program in place for use of any personal vehicle in direct relation to service calls.

Assisting customers with questions about functionality of hardware.

Providing accurate data to administrative assistant regarding estimates, service calls, and invoicing.

Assist in keeping warehouse and workspace clean and organized.

Give training classes on products, in house or suppliers locations.

Accurately reading blueprints.

Knowledge of IP protocols and functions.
