Medical Assistant in Lake County, IL

Job Description

Express Healthcare Staffing is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant to join a local family owned practice in the Lake County Area!

Qualifications:

At least 6 months of experience required

Bilingual - Spanish required

Experience drawing blood required

Experience administering immunizations preferred

Experience with eClinicalWorks preferred but not required

Must be able to work in fast paced environment

Must have reliable transportation

Must have flexibility to float between 8 locations in Lake County & McHenry area

In person CPR/BLS certification required

Tb test (within the last 12 months) required

Responsibilities:

Assist doctors or nurses with patient exams

Draw blood and prepare lab tests

Sterilize instruments and patient rooms

Prepare and administer patient medication

Administrative tasks – manage medical records, patient scheduling, billing, insurance

Record accurate patient history, vital signs, and current medical status

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
