Position: Pharmacy Operations Manager

Location: Mobile, AL - 250 bed Level I Trauma Center

Setting: Hospital

Type: Direct-Hire

Responsibilities:

- Assist the director in maintaining 24-hour accountability for the operation of the hospital pharmacy

- Department scheduling

- Aid the director in personnel functions for the department, including recruitment, hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations, counseling, and education

- Monitor the work performance of staff and advise the Pharmacy Director of performance issues and progress of new staff members

- Ensure pliance with USP 797/800 standards and assist the pliance manager in ensuring processes are followed appropriately

- Evaluate workflow in the Pharmacy and devise strategies for efficiency

- Initiate and implement quality improvement projects in the pharmacy

- Oversee Pharmacy inventory and work with Pharmacy Purchaser to ensure that products and supplies are sufficient to meet department and hospital demands

- Represent the department in mittee meetings as assigned

- Interact frequently with the Health System Information Systems department to manage

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm. D.

-Five years of pharmacy experience, one of which was in a hospital setting.

-Management experience highly preferred
