Job Description
Responsibilities:
Will Float to all Med/Surg/Tele, Critical Care and ED units in the hospital. Qualified talent will also float to ED (Pod A or Pod B)
Independently provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care for a patient population on med-surg units across (INSERT NAME) Hospital based on areas of greatest need
Utilize the nursing process in planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care
Guide and direct assigned unlicensed assistive personnel in delivering interdisciplinary patient care
Communicate and collaborate with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care
Positively contributing to safety outcomes and promoting high quality patient experience
Shift: 3x12 night shift
About the Unit:
Number of Beds: Varies by unit
Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric, General med surg, post-surgical, ED (not all RNs will qualify to float to ED. They have 2 pods to designate who will float to ED.
# of Units candidate will float to: 6 Med Surg/Tele/Observation Units & 1 ED
Nurse to Patient Ratio:1:4-5 depending on acuity
