Diesel Mechanic

Due to expansive growth in the construction industry and a growing portfolio of work, Silverstrand is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to become a key part in shaping the future of our business alongside an experienced team. You will be based in our Brisbane or Gold Coast office and employed on a permanent basis.

The suitable candidate will be responsible for/must have:

- Qualification as a diesel or automotive mechanic or relevant trade

- Minimum 2+ years of experience

- Experience with the maintenance and servicing of Excavators, Rollers, Utes, Petrol & Diesel Equipment, Generators, Pumps

- Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems

- Experience with welding

- Experience with light fabrication

- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnostic and provide preventative maintenance

- Ability to complete service reports

- Ability to complete plant inspections

- Purchasing of parts

- Ability to complete mobile repairs

- A current driver’s licence, and

- Strong focus on safety
