Who are We?

The Division of Information Technology Services (ITS) is responsible for the safe, efficient and responsible use of technology throughout the agency. ITS provides solutions that support DODD business.

What will you do?

Under general direction from IT Tier 1 Supervisor, assists Information Technologist 1 (IT1) with triaging IT service tickets and resolving basic issues: answers IT Service Desk incoming phone calls and make follow-up phone calls to customers; creates ServiceNow incident tickets; takes direction from IT1 pertaining to ticket escalation and resolution; documents resolutions and details in identified knowledge base or other identified document storage location; assists with validation of changes to ServiceNow platform via release or agency-specific change; conducts training for customers to understand changes to systems that affect Tier 1/IT1 service desk services or inquiries; assists with service desk services during large system or application changes when reported issues may increase.

Attends meetings & take notes when needed; performs other duties as assigned within scope of the internship.

Required Qualifications:

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a degree program related to Information Technology

Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint)

Experience with collecting & analyzing data is a plus
