MRI, a woman-owned Technologies and Engineering Services company, has an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support & Network Administrator to support our work on the NOC contract at the Neutral Buoyancy Lab at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

This is a hybrid position, offering the opportunity for both remote and onsite support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, network administration, and application development.

As a Desktop Support & Network Administrator, you will: Provide desktop support for both onsite and remote employees, resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.

Manage and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and security.

Develop and maintain in-house applications to improve workflow and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support new technologies.

Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, performing upgrades and installations as needed.

Document processes, procedures, and configurations for reference and training purposes.

Group Policy object managment Desktop Support (user, computers, printers, peripherals, etc.) User Permissions Management (Active Directory Groups, DLs, etc.) Perform updates and system patches.

Develop SharePoint Workflows and design.

Network configuration, design and maintenance.

Here's What You'll Need: Requisition Qualifications: High School Diploma and 3+ years of experience in desktop support, network administration, and application development, (some college preferred). Proficiency in network technologies such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

Strong understanding of Windows environments.

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.

Knowledge of database management systems (SQL, MySQL, etc.) for application development.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requisition Preferences: Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, MCSA, CCNA) are a plus.

Familiarity with NASA security policies, procedures, and standards is a significant plus.

Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practices.

Work Environment This is an onsite role Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.

Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.

Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.

Due to the nature of the NASA work, candidate must be a U.S.
