G&A Partners' client is currently seeking a HR Generalist to join its team in Channelview, TX.
Responsibilities
Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned
Assist with the pre-employment and onboarding process as necessary- New hire paperwork, background investigations and drug screens, request log-in information, orientation, I-9 etc.
Assist and provide back up to the payroll function
Assist with open enrollment and benefits administration
Reconcile insurance billing with employee enrollments and resolve discrepancies
Monitor PTO accruals
Investigating and helping to resolve employee relations issues and complaints.
Monitor required compliance training activities
Manage worker’s compensation claims from submission assistance through claim closure
Help ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
Assist corporate HR in maintaining personnel records, collection and compiling sensitive and confidential personnel data and report preparation
Assist with training initiatives
Participate in employee appreciation initiatives
Compile data for annual reporting- EEO-1, OES data for TWC, Multiple Worksite Report for BLS, 401k, data for 401k testing, etc.
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field highly preferred
5-10 years prior experience in human resources, relevant to this position
Prior experience within the manufacturing industry preferred
Payroll processing experience - required
Employee relations experience – required
Proficient in using Excel
