Salary: $30 - $45 per hour

A bit about us:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in operating CNC machines, lathe and mill machines, and will have an excellent understanding of quality control and blueprint reading. This is a permanent, full-time position. The Senior Machinist will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and precision of our manufacturing operations, ensuring the production of high-quality parts and components.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain CNC machines, mill and lathe machines with a high level of precision and accuracy.

2. Review and interpret blueprints, engineering plans, and production orders to understand the specifications and requirements of the job.

3. Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated correctly for each task.

4. Monitor the production process, conducting regular quality control checks to identify and rectify any issues or defects.

5. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement strategies for improving efficiency and reducing waste.

6. Train and mentor junior machinists, sharing your knowledge and expertise to support their professional development.

7. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

8. Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions, carrying out repairs as necessary.

9. Keep detailed records of machine operations, including any issues or deviations from the plan.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist, with a focus on CNC machine operation, lathe operation, and milling.

2. Expert knowledge of machine tooling and set up.

3. Proven experience in quality control, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering plans.

5. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.

7. Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects.

8. A commitment to health and safety, with knowledge of relevant regulations and procedures.

9. A relevant certification or diploma in machining or a related field is preferred.
