ABOUT THE ROLE

As a senior apparel designer, you will contribute to the creative vision for Octobers Very Own's apparel, ensuring they align with brand aesthetics and market demands. Conceptualizing designs, conducting fitting, and working cross-functionally through the design process. In addition to overseeing product design and development, you will also mentor and supervise junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to foster their growth. Your expertise in fabric selection, pattern making, and garment construction will be essential in creating high-quality, on-trend pieces. Effective communication skills are crucial as you will present both seasonal concepts and proto-type product presentations. Your attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines will ensure timely delivery of collections while maintaining design integrity. Overall, as our senior apparel designer, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the brand's product evolution and driving success.

MUST HAVES

knowledge of garment construction and fabrication.

knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

3 yrs. work experience as a senior designer.

understanding of trends, consumer preferences, and market dynamics.
