Title: Site Technology Lead/ Sales Engineer - Building Automation

Tenure - Permanent, Full Time

Location - Gloucester, Ottawa

Compensation - $90k - $115k/annually

Job Summary

Our client is seeking for a dynamic Site Technology Leader to oversee installation, servicing, and maintenance of equipment independently. Responsibilities include developing work instructions, managing the technology team, implementing strategic initiatives, and optimizing technology systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor the technology team for optimal performance and development.

Lead successful on-site installation, servicing and repair of complex equipment and systems without direct supervision

Develop and execute strategic technology initiatives aligned with company goals.

Oversee maintenance and optimization of technology systems.

coordinate the development of detailed work instructions and amend any outdated or incorrect instructions with help of Engineering teams

Collaborate cross-functionally to identify needs and enhance efficiency.

Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Manage vendor relationships and ensure timely delivery within budget.

Establish and enforce security protocols to mitigate risks.

Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Act as liaison between technology department and senior management.

Qualifications:

Eligible for Top Secret SIGNET Government and GCP clearance.

Previous technical/installation experience in building automation

Previous technical/installation experience in building Fire and Security

Knowledge of ICT/Cybersecurity fundamentals, Intermediate to Advanced computer skills

Minimum 5 years of field industry experience working with information technology (IT) or Operational technology (OT).

Knowledgeable in database administration and cybersecurity.

Proficient in computer science with strong computer skills.

Bilingual in French (Asset) and English with customer service experience.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Exposure to site-based construction environment.
