Vado Port System, also known as Vado Gateway, is made up of two well integrated terminals: Reefer Terminal and its new semi-automated container terminal.

We are currently looking for the HSSE Site Leader who will join our team based in Vado Ligure and reports to the HSSE Manager.

What you will do:

HSSE Roles: Effectively perform all the duties and responsibilities foreseen for the role of RSPP (ex D. Lgs. 81/08), Coordinatore Squadra Gestione Emergenza, Responsabile Merci Pericolose (ex. Ord. 4/Svil Autorità Portuale di Genova) and PFSO (ex ISPS Code and PNSM), and all other roles required.

Risk Management: assist and support Senior Management Team to guarantee full legal compliance for HSSE aspects and regulations and to assess and manage HSSE risks, including Crisis Management, Business Continuity and Enterprise Risk.

Policy, Operating System and Boards: Assist and support the HSSE Manager with development, implementation and maintenance of HSSE strategy and programs that are regulatory compliant.

Team Management: lead and inspire team to constantly improve safety and security in the day-to-day operations and provide guidance in compliance with applicable company standards and international laws and regulations.

Incidents management: Provides HSSE expertise and knowledge to support the business in incidents and emergencies management.

HSSE contracts management: assist and support cross functional partners to plan, facilitate and enable contractors management, according to Italian regulations and Global standards

PPEs management: assist and support Senior Management Team to guarantee efficient PPE delivery.

Prioritize and Implement Improvements: assist and support Senior Management Team to define proper prioritization for the improvements defined in the risk assessment, according to Hierarchy of Control and risk rating.

Enable business: provides HSSE expertise and knowledge to support the functions in all changes required to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, including review SOP and WI.

External Stakeholders: Assist and support the HSSE Manager to maintain appropriate professional working relationships with Authorities and Institutions. Ensure they are aware and are compliant with our safety regulations and policy.

Leadership and engagement: Influence colleagues and key stakeholders within business unit to become effective Safety and Security Leaders.

Security: Keep the Company inform and update on any new National and Local regulation, providing clear direction on how to fulfil legal requirements.

DVR and Risk assessment duties: for example but not limited to: Support Datore di Lavoro and Delegated to identify hazards, assess risks and related mitigation actions for the workplaces, delivering a proper Documento di Valutazione dei Rischi according to D. Lgs. 81/08 and to other related laws.

Control of Contractors: Support all functions and Contract Owners to prepare a proper Documento Unico Valutazione Rischi Interferenziali (DUVRI)

Be point of contact for Safety Labor Representatives (RLS), also organizing performing and leading periodical meetings.

Incident / Emergency management and IMO: Ensure IMO Goods are managed in a safe way, according to internal procedure and local regulations.

Training

Perform all other job-related duties as required.
