Position Summary:

As we expand our team, we're on the lookout for a Senior Product Designer who's ready to take the helm in leading the way for design architecture. At our organization, you'll be at the forefront of shaping the future of design thinking and strategy. We're not just growing our team; we're pioneering the evolution of design processes, setting the bar higher for innovation in our field.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in driving out-of-the-box design thinking and strategy, ensuring continuous innovation in our design processes and architecture. Your forward-thinking approach will guide us in anticipating what's next, staying ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving landscape. You'll collaborate closely with Business and Dev teams, defining and executing user experience strategies for pivotal product streams. You'll spearhead the development and maintenance of robust design systems that foster consistency and efficiency across our products. Your design expertise will be pivotal in crafting intuitive and visually appealing data visualizations, transforming complex information into compelling narratives.

To thrive in this role, you must possess strong design skills, particularly in tools like Figma, enabling you to bring your innovative ideas to life seamlessly. Operating in a fast-paced agile environment should be second nature to you, allowing you to adapt and excel under tight deadlines. As a seasoned professional, you'll also mentor and coach other designers, elevating the entire team's capabilities. Your experience in leading project efforts and feature design, encompassing UX and information architecture while keeping visual design at the forefront, will be critical in driving our success.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead the user experience strategy of a project, develop and manage the design approach, manage the project design resources, and own quality of design deliverables

Create low-fidelity wireframes on up to feature-rich, high-fidelity designs and prototypes

Lead experience user experience research techniques and produce deliverables based on the following:

Interviewing SMEs and users about their experiences (needs, behaviors, goals, tasks, etc.)

Journey maps

Personas

Ethnographic observations

Usability tests

Competitor/landscape analysis

Support business and product development initiatives by auditing current product streams and making recommendations for optimal improvements

Mentor junior level Designers to further develop their skillsets and understanding of the design process

Communicate user experience design and process strategies with colleagues and stakeholders

Define and manage deliverable documentation with Product and Dev teams

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

At least five (5) years of product UX design experience

Skilled in industry common design tools (Figma, Prototyping tools, Design Systems, Miro)

Ability to successfully lead large and pivotal UX projects

Ability to balance product, development, and user-centered goals to help shape overall build and deployment strategy

Advanced understanding of user-centric design and testing methodologies, design systems, usability and accessibility concerns, and research tools

Ability to define, manage, prioritize, and delegate project UX work to additional resources

Continued awareness of advancements in UX technologies and industry standards, and ability to implement those capabilities and leading practices within the design process

Ability to step up and address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said

Ability to paint a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action

Ability to hold self and others accountable to meet commitments

Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems

Ability to know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement

Required Education & Certifications:

B.A./B.S. in related field or equivalent work experience

Compensation:

Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $115,000 or more depending on experience

*Note: Compensation is benchmarked on local Denver Metro area market rates. Qualified candidates in other locations can expect a salary package that may be adjusted based off applicable cost of wages in their respective location.
