DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES include, but not limited to:

• Provide engineering leadership in the area of hardware and software design encompassing the development stage, implementation, documentation and ongoing support

• Improve Test Time/Test Quality

• Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and its customers

• Complex problem solving on the hardware-software boundary

• Develop test solutions at Sub-Assembly and System functional levels

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years experience in electronics manufacturing test environment or related environment.

At least 5 years working experience as a Test Engineer

Good knowledge of test automation approaches and testing framework

Past project experience in LabView including Teststand and NI Executive

Strong grounding in Design for Test (DFT) philosophy

Sound fundamental knowledge of analog, digital and RF circuitry

Extensive knowledge of test and measurement instrumentation including test automation and PC based I/O and data acquisition hardware

Comprehensive test development experience, including procurement, software and hardware development, system integration, installation, commissioning and support for manufacturing

Ability to integrate tools and code developed by other internal groups or external customers

Debug of solutions using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologies

Project leadership across both internal and external suppliers and customers

Apply Lean 6S continuous improvement and engineering best practices to all aspects of the development process

Possess a strong work ethic and the desire to get the job done.

Ability to understand and communicate effectively in written and oral English is essential.

Preferred Skills

Schematic design and PCB layout CAD tools

Experience using Test Expert® (Fabmaster), LabView and NI TestStand

Familiarity with In-circuit Test, Genrad or Teredyne platform, Boundary Scan/JTAG and Flying Probes

Hands on experience with GPIB, PXI and other instrument communication protocols

Ability to develop code in Python, MS Visual Studio, .NET (C++, C#, VB, ASP)

Embedded software and FPGA programming capability

Ability to design, prototype, fabricate, test and document analog and digital automated test solutions for various PCB assemblies including RF

Advanced aptitude for mechanical and electro-mechanical concepts

Capable of working with minimal supervision as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Analytical, adaptable with good attention to details

Proven leadership capability

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $70,000-$120,000 CAD in our Canadian location; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
