Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec.

We are currently looking for a Weekend shift General Laborer at our Cambridge plant. The schedule is Friday to Sunday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Inspect and sort products on the conveyor, set aside parts that do not meet our standards

Clean mixers using power tools, shovel and scraper

Participate in production and preventative maintenance of equipment as requested.

Sort and manipulate concrete products

Perform yard and plant clean-up and keeps his work area clean

Apply all health and safety procedures and wear personal protective equipment

Maintain quality standards on products

Requirements

High school diploma

Manufacturing work experience

Good team work skills and initiative

Safety oriented

Good mechanical aptitudes and capability to progress as a machine operator

Good learning capabilities

Capability to perform continual physical work
