This job is responsible for executing substantive money laundering, economic sanctions and fraud compliance and operational risk practices. Key responsibilities include working directly or through compliance officers for the Front Line Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs) to complete compliance, policy, operational/fraud risk management requirements.

Global Financial Crimes GFC Manager- Metrics and Key Measures (hereinto referred to as GF Manager) develops and maintains GFC’s metric program inclusive of identifying appropriate metrics, reporting, supporting metric owners with the development of new metrics, identifying, and developing relevant source data, recommending thresholds to management, and creating repeatable procedures and controls to maintain appropriate oversight. In addition, this role is responsible for gathering and organizing data to monitor and test the effectiveness of key metrics, managing the program in adherence to the Bank’s policies, and the Financial Crimes strategy.

This GFC Manager also will operationalize reporting routines and manage delivery of key reports monthly, as we as be responsible for timely updates to reporting dashboards and implementation of required enhancements as needed. The role will coordinate across all lines of business to develop meaningful metrics and analytics, delivering insight at the executive level to drive business decisions, be responsible for working on multiple projects and priorities at the same time, driving the execution and implementation of reporting to monitor the Financial Crimes program health, and develop metrics for oversight and monitoring of program health related to AML risks.

Incumbents typically have over 3 years of metrics and /or reporting experience.

Responsibilities:

Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes owned policies and standards, and reviews relevant Front Line Units/Control Functions-owned policies and standards to ensure that regulatory requirements and operational risks are appropriately addressed

Produces and/or oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting to Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GC&OR) Senior Leaders and FLU/CF Senior Leaders

Monitors the changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes, including advising business leaders, directing the appropriate areas to implement or amend policies, standards, procedures and/or processes to address regulatory requirements, and challenging the implementation plan as needed

Participates in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations, emerging legislation and regulation, political scrutiny, litigation and key influencers to identify and mitigate emerging risks

Escalates financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues to appropriate governance routines, management/board level committees

Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects, and challenges the remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes

Reviews and challenges internal and external operational loss events, including the development of remediation plans to strengthen controls and providing oversight to ensure they are addressed appropriately

Responsible for the design, development, and delivery of detailed metrics and analytics to support oversight and monitoring of overall enterprise health of the Bank of America AML Program.

Produce monthly Metric Dashboard and Program Performance documents, including comprehensive view of metrics such as investigations, issue management, third party management, compliance monitoring and testing, risk assessments, and other AML-specific topics such as SARS, account opening, refresh, transaction monitoring, and account closure.

Develop metrics for oversight and monitoring of program health related to AML risks.

Required Qualifications

Minimum years business and functional experience: 7 Years

Degree required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Data Analytics, Business Analytics or Management Information Systems MIS

At least 5 years relevant experience in Compliance, specifically in BSA / AML, Sanctions, and/or Fraud compliance

Proficiency with MS Office programs including strong Excel and PowerPoint expertise.

Desired Qualifications:

Financial Services and/or related government entity background

Proficient in Tableau, Alteryx, SQL experience

Knowledge of AML typologies or Risks.

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification.
