Job Description & Responsibilities:

Designing, building, implementing, and maintaining an enterprise class IT Storage, Backup, and Recovery Infrastructure.

Analyzing, planning, building, upgrading, and providing guidance for both existing platforms and those considered for future use.

Administering Pure storage and NetApp, including replication and automation with Unix scripts.

Administering Cisco and MDS switches.

Using Dell EMC Data Domain / IDPA as a backup data platform running PowerProtect.

Installing and configuring storage, backup, and DR solutions.

Setting up and managing LUNs, configuring, and managing iSCSI components.

Troubleshooting performance issues in SAN/Storage/Backup.

Deploying and managing local/remote replications and backup solutions/restores.

Configuring, administering, and troubleshooting file services such as NFS & CIFS.

CMDB Server CI validation and cleanup.

Producing process documentation, technical diagrams, runbooks, and related documentation.

Experience Required:

10+ years in the IT industry with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Storage & Backup migration / administration.

5+ years' work experience as Storage Engineer or equivalent.

5+ year’s technical experience in solution building and management of PURE and NetApp Storage.

Experience Desired:

Experience working within agile development teams with a steady focus towards the promotion of a DevOps model.

Understanding or working knowledge of F5, Infoblox, AD, Single Sign-on, Ping, SumoLogic or Splunk, SaaS, PaaS, & IaaS.

Experience planning and designing solutions for business and technology projects.

Ability to provide 1-3 year view of technology roadmaps relevant to the area of responsibility.

Proficient Linux and/or Windows operating systems.

Education and Training Required:

4 year degree and 5+ years technical experience in enterprise IT Server Infrastructure

.

Primary Skills:

Experience with Microsoft and Unix operating systems, Active Directory, and understanding domain architecture, NTFS permissions, CIFS, NFS, WINS, and DNS.

Practical understanding of networking - routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, & VLANs.

Experience with scripting, performing health checks, and producing documentation including capacity metrics.

Experience with Windows & Linux/Unix server configuration (Physical and Virtualized).

Knowledge of VMware, Cisco Networking components.
