Senior Executive, IT Department

Responsibilities:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT department, including network administration, system maintenance, and user support.

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the security and reliability of the organization's IT infrastructure.

Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs and requirements.

Manage IT projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Evaluate new technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending strategic initiatives to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users as needed.

Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and network devices.

Diagnose and resolve hardware and network issues promptly, both remotely and on-site.

Perform routine maintenance tasks, including hardware upgrades, patch installations, and system updates.

Assist end-users with technical support inquiries via phone, email, or in person.

Set up and troubleshoot network connections, including wired and wireless networks.

Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve technical issues and procure hardware/software as needed.

Document IT procedures, troubleshooting steps, and hardware inventory.

Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics and best practices.

Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework is advantageous.

Familiarity with networking equipment such as routers, switches, and access points.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

Master of Computer Applications (MCA) qualification is required.

Additional certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.

Proven track record of managing IT projects and teams effectively.

Experience in implementing and maintaining enterprise-level IT systems and infrastructure.

Strong knowledge of IT best practices, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable.
