Roles & Responsibilities :

As a Senior/Engineer specializing in Melting Scheduling at the aerospace casting manufacturing company, the individual will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and optimized melting processes. The individual’s expertise will contribute to the seamless coordination of melting schedules, adhering to quality standards and production timelines. This role requires a deep understanding of metallurgical processes, strong analytical skills, and effective communication to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring safe work environment within the working area along with the safety officer, Quality and Operation Head.

Ensuring proper material handling and prevent the FOD/Counterfeit parts in their concerned area.

Ensuring compliance with ISO 140001, ISO 45001 and AS9100:2018 documentation standards.

Preparing monthly pouring plan and support in the preparation of a dispatch plan as per sales order.

Preparing daily/weekly schedule with respect to the monthly plan received from the Planner through ERP.

Reviewing new sales orders received via email from ERP and evaluating the details and specifications of each order.

Determining the availability of raw materials and assessing production capacity based on it prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plan for melting operation.

Based on daily/weekly/monthly melting/pouring plan, prepare Post Cast operation plan for each product/order in coordination with Plant head and quality head.

Maintain Plan vs Actual record of Pouring plan and Post Cast Plan and analyze those reports to identify improvement opportunities and highlight areas with major delays and lags .

Performing daily tracking of monthly plan to check progress, which is projected on quarterly basis.

Maintaining record of material requisition sheets received from the melting-pouring section.

Generating process consumable material plan.

Maintaining the pouring Register on regular basis.

Preparing a pending list for pouring to expedite order completion.

Monitoring Plan vs Actual report, analyzing the shortfalls and summarizing .

Documenting and reporting casting quality issues.

Maintaining thorough record of all the residual materials post the melting process.

Collaborating with production, quality control, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth order processing.

Should be familiar with casting procedures in general.

20. Preparing and providing the MIS reports, maintain accurate and comprehensive records of planning activities, ensuring compliance adhering to Planned Vs Actual status daily.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Certifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in production/Mechanical engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.

Experience:

3+ years of proven experience in Planning department in foundries, automobile or casting manufacturing industry.

Experience in the aerospace industry or precision castings industry will be highly preferred.

Technical / Functional Expertise & other competencies:

Strong understanding of Planning related to melting and pouring operations.

Strong understanding of AS9100 standards in all documentation related to planning and scheduling,

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Well versed with the knowledge of all 7 QC tools.

Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
