Job Overview:

We are currently looking for a Purchasing Analyst to join our procurement team located at our corporate office in Radnor, PA. In this role you will focus on the procurement of direct chemical materials. The position will focus on supporting the Chemical Purchasing organization to deliver the right materials at the right time to the business and to provide logistical information on the status of materials. In addition, your mission will be to ensure these materials are properly sourced at the most competitive price and flowing smoothly through our processes.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting the purchasing team with commercial activities with suppliers by obtaining product and/or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedules

Facilitate the procurement of direct chemicals and issue and/or maintain purchase orders

Update SAP to ensure data is accurate through receipt transactions, date, price, and quantity revisions, as well as record vendor order confirmations

Collaborate with internal customers and external vendors to develop business requirements and improve processes

Assist with the development and execution of supplier and commodity strategies to support procurement and manufacturing operations

Manage contract database

Discuss defective or unacceptable materials or service levels with users, suppliers, and others to determine root cause and corrective action

Assist in resolving accounts payable issues and price disputes

Assist with savings tracking, spend tracking and associated analytics

Assist with data analysis on forecasts and usage

Responsible for the maintenance of procurement records in accordance with corporate guidelines

Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent (2-4 years’) work experience

Intermediate MS Excel proficiency is required

Power BI experience preferred

Strong analytical skills

Strong attention to detail

Experience with purchasing modules in major ERP systems; SAP MRP experience is preferred

Demonstrated creativity in identifying and capturing opportunities to control costs, enhance quality, etc

Strategic sourcing experience including supplier management preferred

Strong interpersonal, problem-solving skills

Strong team orientation and collaboration skills

Strong written and oral presentation skills

Possess the poise, confidence and presence to be able to deal effectively with external vendors, and all levels within the organization

Strong, self-confident, decisive leader with excellent listening skills, emotional maturity and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
