Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager (Hybrid)

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and accounting for trusts and estates.

The Estate and Trust Tax Expert/Manager will be responsible for reading through trust agreements, performing accounting from the trust's financial information, and preparing tax returns.

Remote 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

Review trust agreements and other relevant documents to understand the terms and provisions

Analyze trust financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness

Prepare trust accounting, including income, expenses, gains, and losses

Prepare and review estate and trust tax returns, including Form 1041

Communicate with clients and other professionals to gather necessary information and resolve issues

Stay current with tax laws and regulations related to trusts and estates

Provide guidance and support to clients and team members on trust and estate tax matters

Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction

Full Time
