Summary:

This position leads a system wide function that provides critical technological and analytical support to all aspects of Human Resources Management (Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment, and Employee Relations, etc.). Human Resources Information Systems Supervisor is responsible for delivering critical human management applications and analytics to support MyMichigan Health business decision making.

Responsibilities:

(25%)* Develops and delivers, through communication and action, the department’s mission, vision, strategy, and tactical plans, and assures alignment with business results. This requires maintaining a big picture view to assure alignment with other integrated solutions and corporate strategy; Recommends policy change and works to standardize processes system wide whenever possible and practical.

(25%)* Develops and supports an effective Human Resources Information System (HRIS) team and business partnerships with constituents, by demonstrating and promoting a system discipline; effective communication; approaching change as an opportunity for growth; and encouraging both individual and teamwork approaches.

(25%)* Leads (in partnership with IT) the identification and research of new developments and uses of current people management systems and applications as well as new and upgraded systems and applications. Assures effective maintenance and management of Human Resources outsourced service arrangements.

(25%)* Creates and maintains a business information environment that supports effective organization decision making. This includes ensuring data integrity and appropriate analysis of data to support effective decision making, and striving for full understanding of business problems that can be facilitated by Human Resources information. Assures standard reporting is accurate and timely and ad hoc reporting is done thoroughly and effectively. Implements audit and measurement processes and procedures to assure data and analytic outcome integrity.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.

Other Information:

Serves on critical teams to assure Human Resources needs are effectively addressed. Must have a thorough understanding of and advocate for Human Resources’ system and analytic needs and be able to balance facility, member hospital, and system practices and needs. These teams include, but not limited to: A. Serving as the Human Resources lead on information systems core teams, setting direction, recommending policy and procedure changes, and developing short- & long-term goals and timelines. B. Serving as the Human Resources systems liaison to executive committees, requiring a thorough understanding of project plans and activities, as well as the ability to report on current and future activities, to set direction for enhancements and resolve issues. C. Serving as the information systems and business analytics lead on the Human Resources senior management team, representing Human Resources information system and reporting and analytics goals, presenting issues for resolution to assure a system approach, and helping to set workforce strategy. D. Coordinates appropriate user training on internal Infor HR applications and basic report functionally, working with business application sponsors to assure training is appropriate and effective. E. Provide oversight and assist to assure completion of yearly HR projects that include but are not limited to merit, open enrollment, total rewards statements, and job performance reviews.
