BSN required.

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, 40 hour per week, non-exempt, role.

Minimium pay rate: $39.10

Clinic hours: 8a-4:30p with additional hours as needed.

The Healthy Weight and Nutrition Clinical Leader fulfills all clinical responsibilities in the respective areas of practice. In addition, the Clinical Leader is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations involved in the planning, coordination, and provision of his/her department’s clinical services. Ensures that all clinical staff and clinical equipment meet standards established by Children's Hospital and external regulatory agencies.

Demonstrates competencies defined in RN Clinical Leader responsibilities in providing age-appropriate and developmentally-appropriate care to patients from the age of birth through 21 years, and select adult patients.

Responsibilities:

Oversees nursing and UAP staff in documentation, patient care, staffing, and clinical competencies. Serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills.

Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members, including performance appraisal.

Assists in supervising clinical operations. Explains why clinical and financial management are important to the organization.

Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.

Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing auditing and education for safety and quality initiatives.

Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement: BSN required.

Licensure Requirement: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

Certifications: Must be willing to obtain BLS certification.

Experience: Three years' pediatric clinical experience or equivalent combination of education/experience required.
