Job Description:

ECS is seeking talented professionals who love a challenge to join us in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. ECS is responsible for designing, building, deploying, operating, and maintaining a complete ‘Data Services’ solution which includes the collection, normalization, visualization, and sharing of cyber data from more than 100 Federal agencies. The CDM Data Services product is a cloud-hosted solution comprised of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS), software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet DHS requirements.

ECS is seeking a talented Deployment Engineering Lead to manage a team of engineers supporting the controlled and automated deployment of the CDM Dashboard solution across varied hosting infrastructure. The successful candidate will be passionate about cloud, DevOps, automation, system administration and software development. The stability, automation, and scalability will be critical to our success as we seek to deliver mission critical cloud services to the Federal government. The successful candidate will work with many teams to pursue industry best practices and seek to collaborate with many stakeholders including clients and end users. A strong candidate will always seek to deliver work as code in a reusable and reliable manner, have a desire to lead and have experience with modern DevOps technologies to provide high quality technical support and leadership for transformational efforts and teams.

Required Skills:

US citizenship and ability to acquire Public Trust Suitability

At least 10 years’ experience in and deep knowledge of:

Linux

Cloud infrastructure in AWS or Azure

Configuration management experience through Ansible/Terraform/Chef/Puppet

Git, CI/CD and other development tools

Strong scripting skills in at least one language (e.g. Python, PowerShell, Bash)

At least 2 years’ experience with monitoring tools such as Elasticsearch / Elastic Stack (ELK), ECE, Splunk, CloudWatch, etc.

At least 4 years’ experience deploying containerized solutions

At least 4 years’ experience maintaining production environments by managing and applying upgrades and patches

At least 4 years’ experience leading technical projects with strong and demonstrable organizational skills

Desired Skills:

Proven success in supporting a broad array of cloud services

Experience delivering technical excellence in the federal space

Familiarity with managing the Atlassian suite of ALM tools

Experience with both AWS and Azure Cloud Environments

Relevant professional level cloud, DevOps, or Elastic certifications

Able to create and deliver presentations and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical audiences

Ability to brief and engage directly with clients and supporting staff regarding technical work and design reviews
