Pay: $30-34/hr

1st and 2nd shifts available!

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. required.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Basic math skills are essential.

Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity are required.

Ability to read and write.

Proficient in using measuring instruments for quality procedures.

Ability to withstand repetitive motion activities for extended periods.

Good vision, hearing, and physical agility (walking, squatting, bending).

Lifting capability up to 30 lbs on a regular basis

Responsibilities:

Conduct test runs with completed tools or dies, ensuring parts meet specifications and making adjustments as necessary.

Cut, shape, and trim blanks or blocks using power saws, power shears, rules, and hand tools.

File, grind, shim, and adjust different parts to ensure proper fit.

Assemble parts to make, repair, or modify dies, jigs, gauges, and tools using machine tools and hand tools.

Inspect finished dies for smoothness, contour conformity, and defects.

Lift, position, and secure machined parts on worktables using hoists, vises, v-blocks, or angle plates.

Measure, mark, and scribe metal or plastic stock to lay out machining using instruments such as protractors, micrometers, scribes, and rulers.

Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools.

Smooth and polish surfaces of parts or tools using various tools.

Study blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations.

Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts using measuring instruments.

Visualize and compute dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of assemblies based on specifications.

Design jigs, fixtures, and templates for use as work aids.
