2nd Shift - Die Setter - $22-$26/hr, Grand Rapids, MI

Are you looking to further your career and grow as aDie Setter? Do you have automotive grade plastic injection molding experience? If so, this is the job for you!

Preferred Skills:

● Responsible for managing assigned area of injection molding machine changeovers

● Use of PIT and overhead crane to pull and set molding dies

● Ability to install mold water lines per diagram and test GPM flow per specifications

● Input and verify correct molding profiles per documented processes

● Arrange work cell layouts following documented processes.

● Clean and prepare grinders, material hoppers, and loading equipment per instruction

● Set up proper work tables and test for adequate lighting

● Set up assembly fixtures and portable hydraulic/pneumatic machines as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

● Die setter experience with a minimum of 1-2 years of proven related experience.

● Ability to obtain Hilo and crane license

● High school diploma or G.E.D. Associates degree in technical field preferred

● Knowledge of quality and environmental policies. Adhere to procedures and work instructions

● Literate in Microsoft Windows operating environment including Word, Excel, and Email.

● Ability to assure proper identification of all materials including manufactured products

In this role our client is looking for a Die Setter with 1-2 years worth of relative work experience. You will be responsible for coordinating complete job changeovers of injection molding machines. Die Setters will require certification under qualifications of Lockout/Tagout, PIT license, and overhead crane license. This position is for a large plastics manufacturer for the automotive, RV, and office furniture industries. Once your contract is completed with Workbox Staffing, you will be hired permanently!
