Oracle PL SQL Developer

Under the direction of a supervisor, an Oracle PL/SQL Software Developer will contribute to the development, support, and enhancements to the existing system. This involves data exchange between multiple internal applications. Data needs to be retrieved from external sources through middleware services.

• 8+ years of experience in Oracle database full life cycle development including data modeling, database architecture, SQL and PL/SQL development, unit testing and support.

• Maintain re-useable development standards that help implement each solution and/or enhancements to existing systems to meet current and future needs.

• Strong experience in design and development of database objects for web applications using Oracle PL / SQL.

• Experience with systems analysis, documentation, and implementation of database best practices.

• Preparation of development estimates and technical design documents.

• Develop and maintain PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Triggers, SQL statements in Oracle 19c.

• Work with XML Processing, large objects using PL/SQL is must.

• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code.

• Works with Development and Design team, understand the business requirements, functional and technical specifications.

• Hands-on Experience in Agile Scrum and Waterfall Software Development Lifecycle.

• Strong experience with advanced Oracle features such as BULK Collection, pipeline functions, dynamic SQL, Arrays and Exception handling.

• Demonstrated proficiency in Database Development and Performance tuning in Oracle RDBMS.

• Strong experience with database Web services, Rest API's, XML and HTTP protocols and parsing and handling XML, JSON files in PL/SQL.

• Deep understanding of advanced features in Oracle database development

• Hands-on experience in UNIX shell scripting.

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Must have strong knowledge in Object oriented development, version control, release management, change management

• knowledge of programming languages like Java, .net.

• Performance Tuning including tuning/optimizing SQL, PL/SQL code.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Preferred Skills

- Oracle 12/19c, PL SQL programming, UNIX, Scripting, XML processing.
