Position Purpose

Functional Tester is required for ESG program development in Product knowledge Squad.

The functional tester will join a team consisting of a PM, a SM, BAs, Java Developers and Functional testers. The functional tester needs to have strong testing skills and experience on trading related applications. He will work closely with the BA to understand all business requirement, produce comprehensive test strategy, test plan and detailed test cases in good quality, execute test cases and communicate test results with project stakeholders in professional format, manage SIT and UAT under the supervision of Tester Chapter Lead and Test Manager

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

· Understanding of structured test methods and processes

· Test delivery (Functional test, System integration tests, Regression tests, user sign-off, test progress dashboard, test complete report)

· UAT tests support process

· Strong in manual functional testing

· Automated Test experiences is an added advantage

Contributing Responsibilities

· Contribute to the implementation of operational permanent control policies and procedures in day-to-day business activities, such as Control Plan

· Comply with regulatory requirements and internal code of conduct

Technical & Behavioral Competencies

Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or above

7+ years of overall experience as Test Analyst

5+ years in banking industry

Mandatory skills

· Investment Banking or Private Banking is Mandatory

· Experience with end to end systems testing is mandatory

· Experience with trading application or order management system is mandatory

· Proficient in test life cycle

o Manual Functional testing with various techniques

o Integration testing with Stubs and Drivers

o System Integration testing

o End to End testing

· Hands-on experience in writing test cases for complex projects, test data preparation and test execution.

· Hands-on experience in writing test cases using technical specification documents.

· Test cases optimization to achieve coverage and quality

· Proficient in using Quality Center/ HP- ALM

Coordination with various teams on testing activities (understanding application/domain/requirements, test cases writing, execution and defects).Excellent communication skills, able to engage with end users and stakeholders at various levels

Hands on experience of Unix commands

DB queries is a strong plus
