Network Security Engineer/Manager - VPN/Firewall

Security Device Management : Design, configure, and manage firewalls, IDS/IPS systems, VPNs, and other security devices to optimize network protection.

Implement segmentation strategies to minimize the attack surface within the network.

Automate security device configurations where possible to improve efficiency.

Incident Response : Lead the incident response process by monitoring network traffic, analyzing logs, and investigating security incidents.

Identify and contain potential threats to prevent further compromise.

Develop and maintain an incident response plan for efficient response to security breaches.

Security Audits : Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and address weaknesses in the network infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with internal security policies, industry regulations, and data privacy laws.

Work with other teams to remediate any vulnerabilities discovered during audits.

Collaboration : Work closely with IT and other business units to integrate security controls seamlessly into network infrastructure and systems.

Communicate security risks effectively to stakeholders and advocate for security best practices.

Foster a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in network security technologies and threats.

Research and implement new security solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.

Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness of network security measures.

Requirements : Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in network security engineering or related roles, with demonstrated leadership experience (minimum 2 years). Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.

g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, encryption). Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools a plus.

Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
