Job Description : We are seeking a skilled COBOL Programmer to join our team.

As a COBOL Programmer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications on Mainframe systems.

Key Responsibilities : - Application Development: Develop and enhance applications on Mainframe systems using COBOL, CICS, and other related technologies.

- File System Management : Work with various Mainframe-based file systems such as flat files, VSAM, etc., for data storage and retrieval.

- Program Design : Design CICS programs/screens, batch processes, and online programs to meet business requirements.

- Tool Utilization : Utilize tools such as REXX, SyncSort, EZITRIVE, etc., for efficient development and data manipulation tasks.

- Code Maintenance : Maintain and troubleshoot existing COBOL programs, ensuring they function correctly and meet performance standards.

- Documentation : Create and maintain technical documentation related to program design, functionality, and usage.

- Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, quality assurance, and system administrators to ensure smooth application deployment and operation.

Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

2-5 years of experience in COBOL programming with a focus on Mainframe/CICS environments.

- Strong understanding of Mainframe-based file systems and data structures.

- Experience designing and implementing CICS programs/screens for both batch and online processing.

- Familiarity with scripting languages such as REXX is a plus.

- Proficiency in tools like SyncSort, EZITRIVE, or similar utilities.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
