Job Description

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Under general direction, designs and builds cloud applications using cloud technologies (PaaS, IaaS), database query languages, and web programming languages.

Solves complex problems based on expertise with designing cloud solution. Interacts with business customers to formulate and define system scope and objectives.

Conducts data modeling, configuration, specification development, coding, testing, and documentation.

Conducts cloud capacity planning.

Applies best practices in security for cloud applications.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Requires at least 5 years related experience.

Thorough knowledge of Public and Private Cloud Platforms deployment of applications (AWS, Azure, Cloudera, etc.).

Broad knowledge of programming languages such as .NET, Java, J2EE, Spring, Python, Perl and PHP.

Understanding of web services and APIs like RESTful and SOAP.

Knows Agile practices for development.

Knows design patterns, UML, and object- oriented programming.

Experience handling database schemas in source code.

Thorough understanding of security for cloud applications, cloud capacity planning, notification, monitoring, and logging.

Must be able to communicate effectively with both end users and IT staff, as well as business management.

The compensation range for this position is approximately $100,000 - $125,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
