This is a direct hire placement for our client in Windsor, Ontario Canada!

Our client is a recognized leader in manufacturing standard-configured products and custom-designed resistance welding, spot welding, arc welding and metalworking equipment Salary: $60k-$90k annually based on experience Shift: 1st shift- Start time of 6a/7am Job Overview: Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their Welding Team The successful candidate will be assigned to manage the Weld Engineering Department which currently consists of a Weld Engineer, two Weld Engineering Technicians, a Weld Engineering Apprentice, and a Co-Op Student.

This position reports to the Configured Products Applications Manager.

Job Duties: • Resistance spot/resistance projection/Gas Metal Arc welding equipment set-up and validation • Quote and manufacture prototype assemblies • Facilitate the destructive testing of welded assemblies • Monitor facility-wide welding quality • Develop welding procedures • Provide internal / customer weld training • Documentation of quality control checks and welding procedures • Maintenance and selection of welding equipment • Act as a customer liaison and resource for troubleshooting welding-related issues • Providing daily supervision, direction, mentoring, and setting priorities for the Team • Familiar with or possess working knowledge of: arc, gas, and laser welding processes automotive welding specifications electrical and mechanical engineering principles welding equipment, tooling, and setup apparatus inspection methods, acceptance criteria, and qualification requirements safety practices What you need to succeed • Post-secondary education in Materials, Mechanical, Electrical or Welding Engineering • Successful completion of the Welding & Joining Specialization, preferred • Hands-on experience with various welding processes, an asset • Experience with materials and metallurgy, an asset • Experience in a management or supervisory role, an asset Additional Benefits • Health, dental, and vision care • Life insurance • Company matching pension plan • Retirement benefits • Tuition reimbursement • Employee Profit Sharing Bonus • Employee Assistance Plan • Wellness Committee • Additional company perks
