We are looking for a Senior Water Resources Engineer for one of our mining clients in the Vancouver, BC.

The successful individual will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and sustainable water management practices are implemented throughout the project's lifecycle.

Responsibilities: the company’s water management practices for their project.

and oversee the design and engineering of water management/treatment infrastructure.

hydrological modeling tools to predict water flow patterns, anticipate potential issues, and design effective solutions to issues.

comprehensive assessments of water resources in the project area, including surface and groundwater sources.

Analyze the quality and sustainability of water resources.

and management of mine impacted seepage water from mine infrastructure.

compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

closely with environmental teams to ensure that water management practices meet environmental regulations and best practices, minimizing the project's impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

opportunities to collaborate with local indigenous communities to understand cultural significance of water that will be considered in overall water management strategy development for the project.

that the project remains compliant with regulations throughout its duration.

closely with interdisciplinary teams, including geologists, surveyors, and other engineers, to integrate water management solutions into the broader project objectives.

detailed records, prepare technical reports, and present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders and regulatory agencies as required.

technical direction, technical reviews and project management of fundamental tasks related to environmental application (EA), and Joint Application (JA) permits.

The Ideal Candidate Degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering, and postgraduate degrees in water related field is preferred.

Engineer designation.

experience in civil engineering, with a specialization in water management for mining or construction projects.

with sediment & erosion control is required, particularly into drainage & ditch designs from stockpile run-off.

with the management and analysis of mine impacted seepage water from the assets.

in hydrological, water balance, groundwater, and water quality modeling software such as GoldSim, Leapfrog, FELLOW, and MUDFLOW and engineering design tools.

knowledge of water quality standards, environmental regulations, and safety protocols.

problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

to work collaboratively in a team and independently as needed.
