We are seeking a licensed Protection & Controls (P&C) Engineer to join our team.

The P&C Engineer will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of protection and control systems for electrical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities: 1.

Design, develop, and implement protection and control systems for electrical substations, transmission lines, and distribution systems.

2.

Perform detailed engineering analysis and calculations to ensure the reliability, performance, and safety of protection systems.

3.

Prepare technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for protection and control equipment.

4.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.

5.

Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing infrastructure, identify potential issues, and propose solutions for system upgrades or modifications.

6.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and field technicians, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives.

7.

Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and testing phases of projects, ensuring that protection and control systems are installed and operated according to design specifications.

8.

Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to protection and control systems.

9.

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and training as needed.

Qualifications: 1.

Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.

2.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in the province of British Columbia.

3.

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in the design, testing, and commissioning of protection and control systems for electrical utilities or infrastructure projects.

4.

Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices related to protection and control, including IEC, IEEE, and CIGRE.

5.

Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or PSCAD.

6.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

7.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members.

8.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

9.

Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
