The Specialist Claims will be a valuable member in contributing to SCI’s future.

Supporting the Director of Network Optimization & Standardization at our Vipond location, this individual will this individual will manage Claims for SCI Transportation (TM and White Glove.), receive and log claims, provide customers with prompt feedback and support the business by leading investigations into freight claims for loss, damage or property damage to produce a resolution.

This role will provide claims data analysis on a monthly basis including root cause, pay out of claims, accruals, etc.

The person in this role will also be required to review the claims processes and other departmental processes, update processes as needed and create new processes as needed in support of Operations.

• Log all claims received from both external and internal customers ensuring a high level of data accuracy is maintained.

• Investigate Claims and provide recommendation for settlement / decline to internal & external clients.

• Complete documentation and communication response to claims with external and internal clients.

• Maintain the claim module with updates and revisions to claims.

• Update, revise or create new standard operating procedure (SOP) documents and work instructions as required.

• Provide feedback to operational teams on claims and claims occurrences through reporting and analysis.

• Provide customers and Corporate Finance with timely feedback on claims.

• Complete and submit payment remittance to Corporate Finance • Support Fuel tax and Fleet administration for asset-based locations.

• Other support and reporting functions as required by the business and/or Shared Services team.

What you bring to the role: Specialist Claims • Vipond • PT 1 year Contract • 3+ years of experience in 3PL, transportation and or claims management.

• Understanding of TMS Applications • Knowledge of transportation and transportation networks and claims.

• Strong communication, organization, collaborative skills.

• Strong skills in writing and document creation; SOP creation, workflows, etc.

• Actively initiates and engages in discussions with those who can add value to the process when making decisions • Adapts with agility to prioritize what adds value to the client and focuses on executing . • Participates in open, honest, two-way communication.

• Manages time and priorities effectively in a fast-paced, flexible environment to deliver incremental value everyday.

• Holds oneself accountable to deliver on commitments on time, in scope, and with quality.
