Architectural Technologist

Hays has recently partnered with a local mid sized, growing firm located in Calgary who are looking for a Intermediate Architectural Technologist to join their production team.

Responsibilities: Oversee the technical drawing stage Provide contract administration and production drawing support in both AutoCAD and Revit, developing technical alternatives as needed Interpreting Building Codes and AHJ comments and developing the appropriate response Providing support for Contract Administration process, site review and documentation Communicate directly with clients, contractors, product suppliers and others Manage project and job lists, keep updated (both digital and paper-based) Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in the industry Qualifications: Architectural Technology Diploma/ Certification from accredited college or university 4+ years of experience and have previous experience working in wood frame construction projects Proficient with the following platforms: Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe & Sketch-Up Experience managing a project from conception to completion is an asset Prior project coordination and construction site experience would be an asset Sound knowledge of local building codes and bylaws is required Team player, collaborative individual and outgoing personality The successful candidate will receive an attractive compensation package $65,000 - $85,000 (dependent on experience), comprehensive benefits, RRSP up to 3% (after the first year), continuing education allowance + 2 days of professional development and the week off over Christmas in addition to vacation allowance.
