Job Overview

Mentors supervise and provide an enriching and educational experience for a cohort of up to 25 high school students. The ideal applicant is energetic and enthusiastic about academic enrichment and the college experience. The best Mentors take the initiative to solve problems, communicate naturally and empathetically with high-school students, and can maintain daily habits that help them stay organized. The Mentor is an academic support position. The main areas of responsibility include:

Requirements and Qualifications:

Current or graduating undergraduate or graduate student or recently graduated

Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and Zoom

Preferred Qualifications:

Current or graduating GU student

Experience working in an educational setting

Experience working with faculty

Experience working with high school students

Supervisory and/or leadership experience

Institutional knowledge of Georgetown University

Knowledge or experience relating to the Academy subject matter is a plus

Qualified applicants will be invited for an in-person group interview in February. A criminal background check of the selected candidate is required.
