Wasserman Live

Our Grassroots internships are back for 2024! We are looking for an intern to join our UK team this summer on a paid 6 month internship starting from June. This programme will give you the opportunity to experience the breadth of our business and exciting scope across the sports and entertainment landscape.

For the past several decades, Wasserman Live (formally CSM Live) has been defining, designing and delivering award-winning branding and live experience programmes around the world. We are trusted for our expertise, flexibility and reliability by federations, event organisers and partners in sport, entertainment and public sectors. We also have a dedicated team of specialists working in the fields of retail display and fit-out for some of the biggest names on the high street.

Via our extensive studio, print and production facilities in the UK and UAE – as well as a global network of tried and trusted supply partners – we fulfil the look and feel, signage and wayfinding requirements for a wide range of sporting and cultural occasions as well as for cities and public spaces, corporate and retail environments. We also offer sector-leading expertise in experiential and live event production. All backed up by a multi-skilled project management team, we ensure that each and every assignment is delivered to world-class standard, regardless of size or budget.

We are looking for someone who has a real interest in our industry and is eager to learn and get stuck in during a busy summer of events and activations! This role is based within our Orpington office, so being within commutable distance is essential, as well as a desire and ability to travel further afield to events when necessary.

What you will be doing:

This internship will give support to our business, as we work on an exciting array of events throughout the summer months. From operational support, to event set up – this is a super varied role that will enable you to get fully stuck into the world of experiential marketing. Tasks will include:

Assistance with financial elements of accounts – budgeting, POs, supplier invoicing/cost management

Compiling and maintaining project reports, job sheets and schedules

Be involved in the research and feasibility of ideas generated

Event set up – assisting with the preparation and on-site delivery

Maintaining good communication and reporting

The Skills you need

Ability to juggle several tasks at once and consistently deliver high-quality work to tight timescales

Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues

Prioritisation and time management skills

Calm under pressure

Acceptance of some anti-social/long hours when needed for event delivery

Travel & weekend work will be required when delivering Events on-site

How to apply?

To level the playing field, CVs aren’t important, instead, to apply for this role, we want you to create a short video and submit a written answer.

Video brief:

Using a smart phone, create a three-minute video of yourself telling us why you want this internship by answering the below questions: (be as creative as you like!)

How would your peers describe you?

Tell us about a sporting event that has caught your eye recently – and tell us what you thought of it (whether it was good / bad – and why)

This role involves working on events planning and engaging with project managers. Talk us through how you would juggle two contrasting requests at once?

You’re the captain of a football / rugby / any sport team and you’re currently playing a match. It’s halftime and your team is losing. You’re in the dressing room leading the team talk – what do you say to your team to motivate them for the second half?

Share a link of this video via a platform like WeTransfer in the application questionnaire (don't include an expiration date to the video).

Written answer brief:

'In 500 words or less, please tell us about a sporting event that has impressed you and why. (Key things to think about could be; location, audience, brand advertising, infrastructure, operations, etc).'
