JOB DETAILS: Role Purpose And Context The job holder will be responsible for providing support to the development, implementation and promotion of international accounting, auditing and ethics standards issued or adopted by the Institute Key Responsibilities • Drafts comments on consultation documents, questionnaires and other forms of surveys issued by the relevant standard setting bodies.

• Responds to technical queries on international accounting, auditing and ethics standards.

• Drafts technical guidance material on thematic areas relevant to international accounting, auditing and ethics standards.

• Identifies and prepare articles for publication on International Standards on international accounting, auditing and ethics standards.

• Conduct research and surveys on topical areas in liaison with national and international standard-setters and other stakeholders.

• Participates in the development and review of technical material for e-learning and other capacity enhancement projects.

• Participates in the Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards evaluation process and prepares feedback reports.

• Provides technical support to the CPD programme to ensure quality, clarity, relevance and adequacy.

• Participates in the development of comments on legislation and regulations that impact the Accountancy profession.

• Participates in developing and implementing a staff training programme on professional standards.

• Provides administrative and technical support to the Professional Standards Committee and its Panel and any other Working Groups.

• Provide support to the Institute’s Quality Assurance Programme.

• Builds and maintains relationships with other organizations on areas of mutual interest.

• Carries out any other duties as requested by the Senior Technical Officer.

Qualifications • Degree • Certified Public Accountant Experience • At least 2 years of relevant work experience (in public practice, accounting and audit standards setting or accounting environment). • Practical experience of issues relating to ethics, independence, auditing and other assurance services.

• An understanding of, or familiarity with, the standard-setting process is an added advantage.
