Structural Senior Engineer Location:

Montreal, Québec and Toronto, ON Our client, one of the world's leading companies in the development of innovative and ground-breaking aircraft is actively seeking a Professional Aerospace Engineers, for Montreal, QC and Toronto, ON locations. In your role, you will Develop full airframe structural and systems installation concept layouts for new and existing aircraft programs. Interface closely with thermodynamics, mass properties, and other stress, systems, interior, and support functions. Prepare preliminary design studies and layouts. Use 3D modeling. Provide engineering solutions to design or manufacturing problems. Generation and implementation of weight reduction ideas. Provide input for impact analysis (technical, cost, schedule). Provide direct support to other departments in the engineering and operations areas. Support design and program reviews with partners / suppliers. Provide status to project and functional management. Manage design changes through all cycles of the change management process. As our ideal candidate Required Qualifications: A Technologist or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aerospace engineering or aerospace engineering plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in aerospace or related industries. You must have a strong knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems assembly: configuration, preliminary sizing, design for manufacture, detail design (sheet metal, machined parts, piping, component assembly, GD&T), materials and processes, certification requirements, weight control, and industry design standards. Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and capabilities. Your familiarity with the overall operation and function of aircraft systems is considered an asset. Your familiarity with aircraft in-service operations and maintenance is an asset. Familiarity with aircraft interiors is considered an asset. Knowledge of CATIA V5, Enovia and MS Office is required. Knowledge of NX and Teamcenter is a plus. You are an energetic individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of commitment, a willingness to take responsibility, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure partner/supplier team.
