Chemist – VerdeChem Technologies

VerdeChem Technologies is hiring an experienced Chemist to join our R&D team in a dynamic and rewarding position focused on growing and enhancing VerdeChem Technologies solution chemistry presence in the oil and gas service industry. This position will be primarily focused on building out new and extensive product lines for flow assurance, water treatment, asset integrity and phase separation. Additionally, this position will also have the responsibility of maintaining current relationships (ie: potential for technical meetings with customers) and opportunities held by VerdeChem Technologies.

Responsibilities: Performance testing current chemistries in new opportunities Developing new chemistries for niche challenges Developing new chemistries to expand product lines Developing new chemistries for current opportunities Researching actives, communicating, and educating others Assisting field ops with technical questions/challenges Project management from start to finish Gaining understanding of a problem from the field by meeting with customers and field service reps Desing, setup and document testing and the projects (both in notes and in our internal tracking systems). compile and communicate findings in a manner easily understood by sales and by customers. Ensure any compiled data is easily accessible departmentally Building out new product lines for flow assurance, water treatment, asset integrity, and phase separation Qualifications and Experience

Minimum BSc in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry or Geochemistry Minimum 5 years of related experience (laboratory, field) Chemical formulating Autoclave testing Cold finger testing Demulsification testing Water treatment Microsoft Office

Experience considered an Asset:

Hydraulic Fracturing Rheology Analytical Chemistry Instrumentation maintenance, calibration, and repair Understanding of oilfield infrastructure – downhole and surface Business development PowerBI or Tableau Ability to navigate public databases (AER Data) Competencies

Excellent intrapersonal and interpersonal skills Excellent communication both written and verbal The ability to manage multiple projects at once Excellent time management skills Excellent problem solving skills Other Requirements

The selected candidate can be expected to spend a significant amount of time travelling in the Debolt and or Grand Prairie area. A valid drivers license and reliable means to get to work is required. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent, In Office
