Want to be a part of our team?The Senior Manager, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) is a leadership role, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the EHS programmes and policies within NTT.

This role ensures compliance with relevant regulatory obligations, as well as industry standards and best practices. This role works towards identifying and mitigating potential risks. This role manages EHS employees and provides guidance and support to other cross functional business areas and stakeholders on EHS matters. This role works towards fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture focused on achieving operational excellence.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Leads and manages EHS team and provide guidance and support to other business stakeholders on EHS matters

Develops and updates EHS policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with the business objectives

Monitors and evaluates the EHS performance and compliance of the organisation and its contractors and suppliers

Conducts regular audits, inspections, and investigations to identify and resolve any EHS issues or incidents

Prepares and submits accurate and timely reports and documentation to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management/leadership, regulatory bodies/agencies, and vendors

May manage the EHS budget and ensure the optimal allocation and utilisation of EHS resources and equipment

Establishes and maintains effective communication and collaboration with internal and external partners

Provides training and development to employees and contractors on EHS topics and best practices

Manages, mentors, and evaluates the EHS team, and ensures their professional development and performance

Stays updated on the latest trends, developments, and regulations in the EHS field and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires conceptual thinking and an in-depth knowledge of organisational objectives

Sets operational objectives, policies, procedures and work plans

Proven ability to contribute to performance strategies that drive operational excellence and business outcomes

Strong knowledge of EHS laws and regulations

Excellent managerial, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHS software and tools.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification and/or experience

Relevant Health, Safety and Environmental certification(s)

Required Experience:

Extended active working experience with environment, health and safety issues in a related industry / environment

Extended experience dealing with a variety of stakeholders and influencing decision making to manage business risk

Extended experience dealing with legislators and governing bodies

Extended knowledge of the EHS laws, regulations, codes, and standards and their application and interpretation

Extended experience leading and managing environment, health and safety team(s)/function
